WeebleWobble, I want to thank you for bringing up the ceviche. I haven't had any for a long time but after you asked about where to get it I got a craving for it. I went out today and bought the ingredients & now have a bowl of ceviche cooking in my fridge. Can't wait to eat it! Thanks!

Por que no has two locations in town and the ceviche is yummy. I always order ceviche and their fish taco, carnitas taco, shrimp taco. I am getting hungry. Yelp them and check out reviews and menu. Very nice staff, too! Oh, now I want ceviche!

Honestly,
I had never heard of this dish before. Not very common East of Mississippi.
I thought the OP claimed it was a Peruvian dish, I take it is also southern Mexico and central America also?
Is there a flavor distinction between say Mexico and say Panama?
any one have a link to proper pronouncing ceviche.

Phil, I only know ceviche as a Mexican dish & I can't remember where I tasted it for the first time. Probably when I lived in LA. I had Mexican American in-laws & I made ceviche with them many times. The main ingredients are the fish & lemon juice. After that you can add just about anything you feel like adding.

Phil,
Check out Por Que No in Mt.Tabor neighborhood. You will love the distinct, citrusy, slightly spicy flavors of ceviche. Fish or seafood is basically cured by the citruc acid of lime juice and and the fresh flavor of fish is heightened by the spice and tart. I am puckering now and I am craving ceviche.

Puerco,
Yup. I have only had Mexican, as well. I knew you had good taste.

Thank you, Yankeemama. And we both have good taste in cities, too. I'm enjoying some homemade ceviche right now!
