I'm a high school teacher in the CA Central Valley looking to relocate to Oregon, possibly Tigard or another suburb of Portland, but I've heard that there are problems with the Oregon schools. Anyone with information, please, do elaborate on this situation.
Also, any information on climate and other consideration would be appreciated. I'm a desert dweller, but I don't mind some rain, although very much snow would be a stretch for me. I admit that the concept of having access to real oxygen intrigues me. I hope I don't go into a coma when the stuff hits my lungs!

I went to Beaverton Schools for 12 years next door, and drove school bus in Tigard and Beaverton when I was 20. No real issues.
