Hello, My husband has accepted a job in the Portland/Beaverton area and is currently there looking for a place for us to live with our 3 year old daughter. However, I need help find her the help she needs.
She is 3 and has moderate autism and is verbally impaired. She was able to get into the Child Find program in Florida and started a program in a local elementary school last year. Does anyone know of any programs, schools or pre-schools that work with IEPs for autistic children? Please help. I don't care how far I have to drive to get her there. I just want her to receive the help, education and therapy she needs. Thank you.

I don't think you're going to find a public school that can help you since your daughter is only three years old. However, there are some excellent Montesori schools in the Beaverton area. I don't know if they take kids that young but it's worth a few calls.

I know that the university there, Oregon Health Sciences University has one of the best autism programs on the West Coast, you might want to get in contact with them...from a clinical perspective, they'd probably have the best suggestions for schools (and have excellent resources to work on her verbal skills).

They have a parent handout that has some pretty good valuable information for the Portland area.

This should help too:

Autism Society of Oregon

We're in Region 9 on their list.
