Hello,

I recently moved to Portland and was wearing a Chicago Bears t-shirt. It didn't say Bears or Chicago, it just had the classic "C" logo. Anyway, I got three separate comments/praises on the shirt from total strangers.

Are there a lot of Chicagoans that have moved to Portland? Are the Bears a favorite NFL team in Portland?

I used to wear this shirt all the time in Seattle and never once received a comment about it.

Seattle has a professional football team, we don't.

Portland has always been a fairly big sport in the area. Before the Seahawks came around I imagine there were lots of Bears fans. As to people moving from the Windy City, I don't really know. But I like "da bears".

I've met a lot of people in Portland from Chicago, including several of my coworkers. It seems to be a popular destination. I have a Chicago sweatshirt that my wife got me on a visit, and when I wear it in public, people often stop me and ask, "Are you from Chicago?" There also seem to be a lot of people here from Denver.

Rather disappointed that this topic sports talk, and not the recent uptick in Bear sightings.

That's a matter of opinion.
