Is anyone familiar witht the Peterkort Woods condos? I will be working 7:00am to 7:00pm in Hillsboro, Sunday thru Tuesday.

We fell in love with these and the proximity to Hillsboro and downtown seems manageable.

Any opinions?

We also like Orenco Station in Hillsboro near Rosebay park as well as the Pearl District.

I just read through your other thread about moving here. So here's my take on your situation. It looks like you are only working 3 days a week in Hillsboro, one of them being a Sunday, right? If that's the case, based on your criteria, I think you'd be happier in a close-in (to downtown) area as long as you can find a place with a garage. With your hours, you will encounter fairly light traffic on Monday and Tuesday and hardly any on Sunday. Since you aren't doing a M-F, 9-5 slog for your commute, don't sacrifice the restaurants and nightlife for Orenco or Petercort. While nice, they are suburbia and pretty boring. And you will have to drive a lot to avail yourself of downtown amenities.
As suggested in the other thread, look at the Alphabet district, the Pearl and NW 21st and 23rd areas. Once you get here and get the lay of the land, you'll be better able to select a place.

Two Questions: Where is your company putting you up for 2 months and where in Hillsboro (it's a pretty big area)is your job? Is it (the job) in downtown Hillsboro or closer to the freeway (84)? We can better advise you with this info.

That area of NW Portland is really nice. Its full of safe neighborhoods and nicer, upscale homes. Close proximity to downtown (just head down Barnes Road, takes 10 min) and Hwy 26. Close to Hillsboro as well. Not within walking distance to restaurants and retail however and there is no waterfront living there. Close to MAX rail line
