I've been reading a lot about aggressive panhandling in Portland's downtown area, and would like to know if its legal to simply point-blank "blast" the odorous druggie with one of those air-horn canisters that people use at football games. I'm only proposing this in the event that the panhandler calls me something terrible, or smells like urine.

I treat them like a streetlight or a mailbox. Don't run into it while walking but other than that no reason to pay attention to it.

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO I dont mind regular panhandlers but if they cuss you out it gets annoying. My daughter bought one a sandwich and gave it to him and he threw it at her and said "what am i going to do with this??"
