Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone is doing great. My in laws are in portland for the weekend with family they are staying with in Washington and I wanted to give them some places to go. I have only visited when it was summer and not raining so I need some help with ideas! I know the weather can be unpredictable online it says it will rain Sunday but obviously that can change or stay the same. What is there to do when it is raining? Is there someone " perfect" to go or something that will be accommodating to a 2 year old? ( they brought my son with them). I know when we visited on Labor day we went straight to the Falls which was the best first experience ever. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

OMSI is a great place to go with a 2 yo, they have a large space upstairs for preschoolers. The Children's Museum is also fun but it can be crowded on weekends.

The Children's Museum, up next to the zoo, is a great place to take kids. As is the zoo.

Here are some pages with great activities:

Travel Portland
Delicious baby
NW Kids Magazine

Two is kind of young, so some might not be appropriate.
Our kids used to like watching the ice skaters are Lloyd Center, and visiting the Disney store there; shopping at Finnegans Toy Store.

Old Wive's Tale is a great kid-friendly restaurant.

Not sure what's going on there, but the Ladybug Theater is great for kids.

There's a great old carousel at Jantzen Beach (http://jantzenbeachpdx.com/store-directory/carousel.html - broken link) shopping center.
