So you have been living in a neighborhood in Portland. If you had to do it all over again would you still live in the same neighborhood?

If you have the means, I think it's hard to go wrong with most Portland neighborhoods.

We got out of the outer SW (a couple miles past hillsdale), and moved to SE last summer. We like it significantly better. I would have preferred to be closer in, but we couldn't afford much closer than we ended up (we're out by 75th Mount Scott neighborhood). It's still a transitioning neighborhood, but it's much more of a neighborhood than where we were before, and we can actually walk to a few parks and not get run over walking on Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. So yes and no.
