I haven't figured out what they have done with that line either. Maybe I should look again.

This is a project I'm excited for. It think it's really going to cause a lot of development on the Eastside in the future.

But it seems like it just goes down streets that are already developed (MLK/Grand)? Although I haven't seen the whole route and where the turnarounds actually are.
Are people will to pay for it though? That's the question, as it's not going to be free like the West side street car is (was). If the street car downtown moves to fares, like they have been saying, is it going to be able to survive?

Okay I finally looked up the map, and it is basically just up and down MLK/Grand and through the Coliseum and Lloyd Center (areas that are already pretty developed. The only place that would really get a bump on the east side would be the industrial area down next to OMSI and the new MAX bridge. But I definitely don't see an explosion of development like you did in the South Waterfront or Pearl with the downtown route.

Can you imagine how long it would take to ride that street car loop, 3-4 hours? The street car is just too slow. You can beat it walking most of the time.

Don't overlook the potential for change of use on and close to developed streets.
