I can't take how beautiful it is here! Driving to the store u r blinded by color...this weekend was unbelievable...every day a new color seems to pop out...this is sure worth the long gray...even if its only three days! Hehe...more rain on the way in a couple days...but I am loving this weekend! A spring or summer day here is heaven. I'm so blessed to see this and be here.

I decided to take a break from my gardening and was delight to read this post.

Yes, it's been an incredible weekend. I've been outside all day long both days, even got a bit sunburned yesterday. Tempted to play hooky from the job tomorrow. I hope we get a lot more of them.

I'm going to take a walk now.

Default Get out and enjoy that nice weather!

I always loved the spring color in Oregon. The contrast from the "off season" makes it all the better. I have color practically year round here in Houston. I would imagine in a few years I might take it for granted. Right now I really love having my flowers and plants doing their thing for most of the year.

Enjoy now. There will be a massive system (actually a series of them) all up and down the West Coast starting today. Here in the Bay Area the altocumulus are filling in and there are thunderheads scattered about. Showers tonight and tomorrow, rain in earnest Wednesday until ... ?

You all are going to think I'm nuts, but it was too hot for me. I think I am a 40s-60s gal. Anything above that and I start to swelter. I love how cool Portland is a lot of the time.

Ha ha! I used to be the same way at start of warm weather. In August I would finally be used to the heat. I always shivered in Oct until I got used to the cooler temps again. I think at a young age the snow bird retirement idea started with me

Me too! I can't believe I thought 78 degrees was too hot, and I lived in Austin less than a year ago.

Well, Question of the Day in a local radio talk show this morning was, "Did you turn on the A/C?" I didn't hear the results but chances are at least half of the listeners did.

I don't turn mine on until it's dang near 100. Seriously.

Sunday I worked in the flowerbeds from noon until 6:30, and sometime inbetween I noticed how QUIET the culdesac was. And no wonder ~ I and my husband were the only people outside all day! Not even kids. Of course, some could have gone elsewhere to enjoy it.

I had all the windows open, then my husband came in and said the AC was going on. It does get really warm in our house with our west-facing windows.
