I think it's a still a little bit early but there is probably something blooming. Most things are just leafing out.

Are there any wild poppy flower fields around Portland that would also be in close proximity to highways or parking lots so as to you don't have to hike or walk a lot because we can't?

Wild poppies are a California thing...I don't think there are any in Oregon.

No, you're likely to find Camas fields which were a staple of Native American diets. I'm growing some myself in my yard with an eventual eye towards using for the same reason, but mostly because I love the look of the flowers.

What are the yellow flowered plants growing in the marshy areas alongside the road as you drive to the coast? I don't think I've seen them in and around the Portland area.
