Fojo - I appreciate your comments regarding large houses and their effects on environmental resources. We may find a smaller home that we absolutely love or we may simply look for a extra large lot to accomodate the large home; we're not set on the large house, but we do like the space they provide for extended visits from family and friends. Either way, we are a family that spends more time outdoors than inside and decided on the Portland area for the numerous outdoor activities (not to mention the friendly people and the other things I mentioned in previous threads). Again, thank you and I will consider your valid comments.

I agree SO MUCH about Las Vegas... HATED EVERY second i lived there (9 months). I am also beginning to think about the Portland area.
