Can anyone tell me how the area around SW Ankeny. I hope I am spelling that correct. 12016 SW Ankeny to be exact. Is that a godd or at least decent neighborhood?. How close is it to down town Portland?.
Sorry but I live in Cali and will soon be moving to Oregon so I don't know
the areas.

Do you mean SE Ankeny (rather than SW)? If so, that's outer SE Portland and it's more or less the boondocks. I don't know what that particular block is like but there tends to be a lot of crime in outer SE, a lot of strip malls, lots of traffic, not a good place to walk, etc. If you're looking to be close to downtown you're not....Don't get me wrong, there are some decent neighborhoods in outer SE but again, it's not the kind of are you walk, lots of chain stores, traffic, stip malls, etc. There's nothing special about it and a lot that's blah.

BTW, it's about a 30 minute Max ride into downtown and if you're going to be that far out, and are looking that far out for cheaper rent, you could probably find a lot nicer apartments/areas on the west side going into Beaverton and still be closer to downtown.
