Statistics show that Asians are the highest growing race coming into Portland. There are lots of new Asian restaurants opening up in Portland and the outlying areas.

Many whose family origins are in India are moving here to support high tech, those that I have met are not recent arrivals to North America. In ethnic statistics they are counted as Asians. They are highly educated, have high expectations for their children, and are willing to pay to put them in private schools.

He is a troll. I reported his last thread on this topic and this one will be joining it in la-la land.

Nothing new. They have been a significant part of the population since World War II.

So lots of good Indian restaurants? I missed that on my visits. I try to find good Indian food when I go places. Toronto is a Mecca of Indian food. Vancouver has Sikhs, so there are good restaurants there, too (BC, not WA). Anybody want to recommend one or two really MUST visit Indian restaurants in PDX?

Bombay Chaat House, Abhriuchi, Swaggat, PDXBiryani, Bombay Cricket Club, Roshambo. Further out on the West side I can highly recommend Lentil Garden, and India Flavors. I think the West Side Swaggat is better then the one off NW 21st too.

That doesn't even include the number of great food carts that serve Indian.

I definitely have to fit that into the next visit. I've eaten Indian in B.C. and Ontario.

So anyone celebrating the inevitable rise in IQ that comes with Asian immigration? Is IQ valued in today's PDX?
