Or you've just recently moved here? Then watch this video. It will make you feel good about your decision.
It shows Portland, in the summertime, in it's full glory.
The video is in Spanish, but there is no need to understand it. You will get the general idea of what the conversation is about, and REALLY good idea what the city looks like (again, in summertime).
Portland is really LIKE THIS...

That was me. I found it because there's a severe shortage of Castilean media materials and I want to maintain my Spain accent. So I'm always looking for things to keep up.

I appreciated how they went into everyone's houses. They showed a real variety, and a true representation of how people actually live.

Great video -- looks like Portland is sun and blue skies ALL THE TIME. Right?

Isn't the Castilian version of Spanish great? Elegant and easy on the ears. Compare that to the Spanish spoken in much of Central and South America - guttural and harsh, as if the speaker has sand paper in his throat.
And what great people the Madrilenos are, outgoing and charming. Watching this movie makes me want to move to Madrid or Barcelona, especially now that the Spanish real estate bubble is deflating and the prices are finally coming down.
