Problem is, finding a place to park it...An acre of land in Portland is about $29K-$400K depending on where you live. The city leaders aren't going to allow you to just park it anywhere...

No thanks. I get the "try before you buy" idea but I wouldn't want to live in one of these things. Not only because I am not a sardine but also because for the price of the land to put it on, I could have a nice house or condo.

"The nearby restaurant and bar Radio Room has offered to provide room service for hotel guests,"

I hope they don't have bean burritos on the menu.

Having a family of five living quite comfortably in 888 square feet, I could totally see living in a tiny house someday, perhaps when it's just me and the husband. I've always loved them. I'm quite used to small spaces. I lived in a 350 square foot apartment for several years and had houseguests and the whole nine yards. 120 is a bit smaller than I'd like, but I do really like the larger tiny house designs (400-600 sq ft)

It'd be a lot more spacious than, say, living on a sailboat would. And people manage that just fine.

My apartment is about 550 sq ft. I'm not sure exactly of the size. But I doubt it's any larger than 600 sq ft. It's large enough for me although the smallest place I have ever lived in was 350 sq ft. I wouldn't want to go much smaller than that. To each his or her own.

I know I need to downsize my load of junk, but not sure I could live in that. A 600 sqft one bedroom apt is small to me. I'm not one who needs some 3,000 sqft home, but still. I'd like some breathing room. I could stay in that like a hotel, but live there? Oh yeah, couldn't do it. I moved to OR so I could eventually buy a house on some land. If I wanted tiny I'd have stayed in CA or moved to Japan.
