Keep in mind this is not LA. It is also not Phoenix where they are not able to enforce tickets. If they cite you, and you did it, they will collect.

Until you see the video you won't know for sure (what they have against you, or what you even did perhaps), but it's quite possible from your description that it was a rolling stop, or that your stop came beyond the stop line - in the crosswalk or intersection.

Great thank you for your help. Hopefully all goes well.

I know that camera well, it's exactly the same spot they got me! Basically, it's no mercy. If you made a mistake of even half a second, or 6 inches with no risk to anyone, they will fine you - and as much as if you'd run that light with it solid red straight through the intersection putting others in extreme danger. Pisses me off all over again. And when I went through this they said I had the right to challenge it in court, but if I did I would lose the right to do the online program to get it taken off my driving record. So unless you are 100% sure you will win the challenge, you are better off just paying it and doing the program. I'm sure Beaverton makes a LOT of money off of this.

Never pled guilty to something you did not do.

Hell yeah they did sigh. Should have just paid it the very first time. The fine is so high, I really hope that person who is taking them to court wins...and it sounds like this person is going through with the process entirely unlike the other ones. Because the fine is very insane amount.

Here's another one I just got, it's really not my year of driving I suppose. Sunday morning, saw 2 cops pull over a BMW everyone was inside their vehicles so I didn't think about switching lanes but I did slow down a bit, I passed them and then low and behold one of the cops pulls out and pulls me over because I didn't switch lanes. At the time I was like I didn't know that I had to change over, so he writes me a ticket. The ironic part is there was an old guy changing his tire and he obviously needed help which I got out and proceeded to do so. I got done Cop gave me a ticket, not even a warning what a joke. I will def contest this one because I don't need it on my insurance record since I just got that camera ticket. I know this one isn't red light related but just wanted to know what peoples thoughts were on this one.
