Im tired of this area, lived here for years and sick of the sight of it, ( suburban area of a large cCan a native Oregonian tell me what Oregon is like to visit? To live? I prefer cooler weather, hopefully not too far from water, some nice outdoor parks, walking trails, like rain more than the average person but dont want rain all the time, some diversity...I want to rent a two or three bedroom house. Friendly but not meddling neighbors, acceptance of differebt religions a d lifestyles, think un Texas like

You may be wondering why no one has replied to your post. It's because everything you need to know has already been posted hundreds of times. Spend some time going through both the Oregon and Portland forums, and I mean lots of time. Then get back to us with specific questions.

For me it was the spelling and mistyping that turned me off. And yes all these questions have a thousand post right here on the same page. But mostly it was your rants in the Political and Psyc forums that said you really just wanted to chat.

Think about this. It may not be the area, it may be you.

But if you really want to know the answer to your question, just start reading just about any post in this forum.

Some of Oregon is Texas-like. Some is not. You are asking about an entire state. It would take a very long post to tell you about all of it. I think Wikipedia would serve you better.

You might want to post your questions regarding the state of Oregon in the Oregon forum. If you have specific questions regarding Portland, that's where they would go.
