I need some advice. I need to get from Lake Oswego (off I-5) to Milwaukie City Hall. I went there today and didn't realize the extent of the construction on Macadam near the Sellwood Bridge. Google said it would take me 20 mins, it took almost 45.

Google had an alternate route crossing the river at the Ross Island Bridge.

Any advice on routes that won't have construction and won't add too much time to my drive? The construction will make things to iffy and I have to be there at a certain time. I thought 45 mins would have been more than enough, but it barely was enough.

You could head south and take the 43 over the Oregon City bridge and come up the 99.

Or the 205 to the 99 in Gladstone.

google is right I-5 to 26 east then across the ross isalnd bridge, down 99e (McLou) then take 224 and get off on Monroe street, Harrison is closed. I live in Milwaukie, the closure of Harrison is driving me nuts.

Thanks. Looks like my choices are to go around to the north or go around to the south. I think they need another bridge. LOL.

I'm wondering what the 205 looks like in the AM, compared to 5 north to 99E. Hmm.....I'll have to check on Monday.

Is it the off-ramp to Harrison that is closed? Because yesterday I came down 17th to Harrison and it was open (at least to Main St). Thank you for letting me know that it's closed, it's where Google wanted me to turn. I'll remember to pass it and take Monroe instead. Does 99E move pretty well?

There isn't an offramp to Harrison, just a turn.

99 usually moves pretty well.

Thanks. I take it it's more of a street then.

Yes, it's all a street from the edge of Oregon City all the way to Marine Dr. - McLoughlin Blvd and then Martin Luther King.

Thanks everyone. I took the 5-Ross Island-99E route. This time, took me 20-25 mins. Looks like I was going against traffic the entire way. Yay. Much better than the 45 it took me last time.

Also, Harrison is open, or at least it was when I was there this morning.
