My turn to ask for help.

We have two IPads. The older one transitioned from me to my husband's use. Now it is all mixed up and we are at a loss as to how to make his, his. For example it has his password hints, but my birthdate. The email address is one he doesn't use any more. We can't even get into the ITunes account for that IPad.

Is there anyone who can help me unravel this mess?

You might want to restore the iPad to its original settings (this will wipe everything, including downloaded applications, music, internet searches, etc.). Once he turns it on again, it will ask him questions about his iTunes account, maps, and WiFi password.

This link will show you how to reset your iPad: http://ipad.about.com/od/iPad_Guide/...Erase-Data.htm

Oh, also if its using an e-mail address he no longer uses, he might want to update his Apple ID information here: https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/We...MyAppleId.woa/

I've changed my e-mail address a few times, and I've had the same happen to me.

When you are 70+++ sometimes it is helpful to 'hire a kid'.

I just found the best computer guy (possibly in the world - after having a couple of others who weren't all that) who helped get my computer modem/ router issues stabilized. Granted, they were with computers.. but I think he's probably cross-trained with anything.

Yes, he's young and must have the computer gene.

The Apple Store in Pioneer Square is always very helpful. There are always about 5-10 employees working the floor.

The Genius bar at the Apple store will help you with this. You just need to make an appointment online to do it. Good part is that it'll be free.

Good suggestions. But it shows why I use a Galaxy S.

For an IPad, go to the Apple Store, or go to any mall and grab any kid with an IPad.

P.S. the last could get you arrested if misunderstood.

If you only knew! DH is fearful of moving up but threw a fit when he learned that XP will no longer be supported by Microsoft. He is 75+ and was an early adapter back in the day.
