Okay, maybe the chocolate Fest we will do. My husband doesn't like chocolate like I do but he can keep an eye on the kids while I go a samplin'.

Here's another event (from the Oregonian listing) that seemed to fit this thread:

Quote:
Looking for cheap entertainment for your family tonight? String quartet Mousai Remix will play at 7:15 p.m. tonight at the Community Music Center, located at 3350 S.E. Francis St., as part of the Family Friday Concerts organized by the park's bureau. There is a suggested $5 donation ($15 for a family). Popcorn and other snacks will be available for purchase. Doors open at 6:30.

I missed the Chocolate Fest? I am soooooo disappointed. I knew I should have read this board on Friday.

Did anyone go? How was it?

It was good, same as always. Lots of free samples*, although we ended up walking out w/about $75 in various yummies (and none of that was liquor, so it could've been far worse).

Very interesting this year, as Wizard Con was going on at the same time in the CC. Made for some VERY intriguing people watching. My kids loved seeing all of the costumes, although I have absolutely no idea what half of them were dressed up as (cue the old man comments).

*Note to self: when the lady next to you says "I highly recommend the sample in front" - make sure to ask what it is before putting it in your mouth. One mouth on fire later, after finding out it was laced w/habanero powder, and lesson learned.
