Yes, clearly what we in Oregon need is an Oklahoman to show us the error of our ways.

They should be fined or arrested if they try. Besides, it would create jobs.
Maybe you should petition in your state to create a law that requires an approved contractor to do the snow "shovelling" duties in your own state.

Have you ever been to Oregon or lived in Oregon for any period of time?

Heh. Did the Californians finally stop telling you all how to make your state more like California? I should think before you resorted to asking the Okies, you'd at least holla at Idaho. We Know Ontario.

There have been several. It was on the ballot already a couple of times. It was defeated. The majority like it just as it is.

If not being able to pump your own gas bothers you that much, the easiest way to avoid this problem is to never visit a state that only offer full service gas stations...I am sure Oregon will survive without your tourist dollars.
It always makes me laugh when diehard Oregon Luvers tell folks on this site to go away when posters insult "the good people" of Oregon. Further posting on this site does not mean the topic is a life encompassing issue to a poster.

Dude - it's a discussion web site, people are discussing. Stop taking this stuff so seriously.

As to my tourist dollars - well, I live here so OR gets plenty of my $ every damn day. I therfore can render opinion about stuff that happens here.

I just don't understand why people care about this topic, who cares that you have someone else pumping your gas in Oregon. You are obviously in the minority when it comes to this law, and that isn't going to change.
