Than it isn't sherbet, but a dairy free substitute.

Or perhaps you could call it a sorbet. Or better yet, considering that Salt and Straw's products in general don't conform to "what ice cream is supposed to be like" maybe their sherbet is what it is and isn't worth arguing about. Who cares, it's simply fantastic. Glad it's far enough from me that I only go every once in a long while and not every day.

Is there a Vodoo Doughnut near the Northrup Station Hotel? Anybody seen one? I am going to be in that area this weekend.

Nell....Thank you so much for the Stepping Stone Cafe recommendation! We absolutely loved it there. Their food is awesome and the staff was great. I think we ate there 3 times .

Our overall stay was fantastic....we did not want to come home...especially to 100+ degree temps. We've made decisions on where we want (will try our best) to live, what high school & middle school we want the kids in, and did loads of driving & walking around checking out neighborhoods. This trip was even more informative than the last. Just as last time, everyone we met was so nice and friendly.

Now we are back home and will be putting our heads to the grinding stone to finish up the last bits of stuff that needs to be done, save some more money and count down the days until we drive that direction for the last time.
