My family and I are possibly moving to the Camas/Vancouver area and have been looking at houses online. It seems that we might be able to get more for our money in Vancouver and we have found some houses that we like but are having a hard time being able to tell if the neighborhoods they are in are nice/safe. Does anyone know very much about the newer development "Abby Manor"? One of the addresses is 7503 ne 123rd st. We're wondering if the surrounding area is nice/safe? Also wondering if it is family friendly and if the schools are good? Thanks!

I think there is a Vancouver sub-forum in the Washington State forum. Maybe one or two of us can speak knowledgably but your odds are greater if you ask there.

It's a much quieter forum, so in general it's hit-or-miss posting here or there. But I agree in this case since OP is asking about a specific complex the odds of a useful response are much better asking there. It just may take a few days to get any responses, but the ones you get are liable to be better.

Is the address 123rd Street or Court?

Based on Google Maps, Court is in the Evergreen School District. Street should be in the Battle Ground School District. Court would also be closer to amenities such as stores and restaurants. Street appears to be in more of a remote area. Both areas should be safe-Vancouver's pretty safe, but I'd chose the one on 123rd Court over Street. Just preference of not wanting to live "in the country."

Last I checked (I got warned by OR forum), It is not allowed to recommend anything across the border from where this forum is focused.

That would be unfortunate if it is policy. There are cases when people start out looking at Vancouver when they really should at least consider looking south of the river, and vice versa.

The area you are looking at is nice. It is very safe and you are close by a lot of shopping/theatres. Commute will be a drag if you need to cross the bridge.
