This is great news, and it adds to the pile of reasons that I want to get my family up to Portland sometime in the next couple of years. Down here in LA, Time Warner charged me $400 a month for business class internet that was only 25 down, 5 up. I believe the residential version of that is still over $100. ATT is the only other option, and they can only get me 18 down, 2.5 up for $120 a month. Unbelievable.

I'd easily pay a couple of hundred bucks a month for 1 Gigabit internet from CenturyLink, Google, or anyone else that offers it.
