Here is air quality next door to Portland,

SWCAA - Air Quality Index

There are some links to 'upriver' Columbia Gorge,

Unfortunately, there is a very dirty coal burning Power Plant 'upwind' in Boardman, OR. (To be closed in a few more yrs).

It has led to pretty serious erosion of my concrete and car paint.

Thanks a lot for the link, and wow, erosion of your concrete and car paint? In the Gorge? That's awful, and strangely enough the American Lung Association ranks Hood River among the cleanest cities for both ozone and particle pollution. When I saw that ranking on their website, I figured it must be because the wind blows the pollutants out... but maybe it doesn't after all. (Or maybe what's causing your erosion is a different type of pollutant from the same plant. Awful, either way.)
