And I certainly don't mean to imply that a lot of those points are exclusive the the Medford area - crime, housing issues, mediocre schools, limited job opportunities - that will be true pretty much anywhere in Oregon's cities.

good luck. Every time i have visited southern Oregon, I always enjoyed it and if money and job were not an issue i would consider moving just to get out of the rat race that is the Greater PDX area
