It's a good system. Not sure what people want out of an above ground transit system that shares roads in certain places.

Biggest issue with it are the number of bums using it as a free ride, or a warming center in winter.

With the tri-met app you can put in the time you need to be some place and where you are and it will tell you how long it will take ( give or take) because occasionally they have to stop and wait for whatever reason.

I enjoy the MAX and it is way better than sitting in traffic that is going no where. Personally i try to avoid driving downtown as much as possible.
