This is a horrible idea. First of all, Hillsboro's traffic problem is even worse than Portland's. Yeah I know, Portland has congestion during rush hour but Hillsboro has congestion all day long even without the addition of those 20,000 people that will move here after the construction is completed. Second, when you are coming from south Hillsboro, the closest highway access is like 10-12 miles on a city road full of traffic lights. It takes 20-30 minutes to move from South Hillsboro to US-26 and around the same if you are going anywhere near Intel. It will be a nightmare for those people to transport to wherever they are transporting.

Expansion of Cornelius Pass won't amount to much. They are adding 3 lanes 2 of which are bicycle lanes and 1 turning lane. It will not reduce the traffic at all.

Wow. 26 is already the highway of hell. I'm glad I live on the Eastside!
