Personal responsibility & accountability are not very popular concepts in Portland.

Well said. Exactly spot on. Far left liberal dumbassery is in full force lately.

You started this thread with honorable intentions (at least that is what you claimed).
Now you have shown your true colors.
Disappointing.

No, you are the one who is wrong. About the only thing a human being does instinctively is breathe. Everything else must be taught. Everything. Eating, bathing, dressing, loving, hating. It all has to be taught. And The Administration is turning out to be the Mother of All Refresher courses on the subject of suspicion and hate and the abandonment of PC values for a more aggressive ethnocentric stance. Of course there is disagreement with this, but not much. Because people aren't stupid en masse. They just play the fool online where their faces can't be seen.

If we are going to sling labels around, lets be clear. Christian was no Liberal! He may have been far to the left, he may have been far to the right... I don't know if he knew which or what he was, but he was not Liberal. And what you call Liberal dumbassery keeps this country from becoming Honduras or El Salvador. If we kept going even further in the Liberal direction we could get to a Canada or Australia. You'd live in those places, if they would have you. Live there, and decry the clean and humanitarian living conditions and praying every night that things never change!

Took Trump three days to get a few words out of his mouth about this crime. That's what I'm talking about. He probably had to consult with his alt-right handlers about not offending Muslim haters. That took some work.

They stood up and defended, when they didn't have to do it. They could have looked the other way. They confronted a guy who was clearly dangerous and threatening. Their actions based on our beliefs inspire others. Most definitely heroes.

That's correct, that the term "hero" is often used injudiciously. But not here.

Do you mean her true colors as a compassionate person who cares about her community instead of just sticking her head in the sand and blaming some mysterious "other" for Portland's social ills? If that's the case, YM, let your colors fly.

This thread has turned into a pathetic mess.
