Can anyone advise on what rural areas outside of Portland are horse communities. Thanks!!

Look west of Wilsonville, just west of the urban growth boundary.

Also look east, south, and north of Wilsonville. Basically, base your search in and around Wilsonville as I stated in my first reply.

Ridgefield Washington (just north of Vancouver). There are a lot of stables and horse farms in the area. Ridgefield HS has an equestrian team, for example.

Also the Hockinson area. The urban growth boundary is much less defined/enforced on the WA side of the river so there are a LOT more small farms and stable type operations up there.
