Note that I take no pleasure in seeing this happen as I think Portland really is a great city, so this is really unfortunate to see.
It's like a mini cultural revolution where the Red Guard wreaked mayhem and havoc in the name of reform and ended up being worse than the disease.

Seattle and Portland have the nation's worse reputation lately, its going to take millions of PR ads to bring it back which the cities don't have anymore. How these 2 destination cities come to this in such a short time is amazing.

It takes a desire to strike for the bottom ,and not let anything get in the way.

Sorry, that’s utter rubbish. Three different people were physically assaulted by SEVERAL individuals in this mob, one of them was robbed by two different people. Not a single one of those BLM rioters did a thing about it. They literally just left the one kid bleeding on the ground passed out.

Would not be surprised if these deranged children in Portland formed their own Khmer Rouge and attempted a Pol Pot style Utopian society...

It most likely is.
Do not look for improvement.

Check out the candidates running in November for leadership positions.
You can't make this stuff up.

Good news, the knee jerk reactions around whether he’d be arrested we’re humorous to read.

Thanks to crowd sourcing and the suspect turning himself in. Otherwise the underfunded Portlandia police might still be trying to phone in his arrest.

I am pleased the suspect in this case turned himself in and appreciate all of the efforts to facilitate this safe resolution,” Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said in a statement. “Thank you to all of the members of the public who have provided information and tips to our investigators. Your assistance is very much appreciated.”

The crime was recorded in full on video and the perp’s face clearly visible. Police work doesn’t get much easier than that.
