Hi. OK - I understand the "neighborhood' concept in greater Portland (what a cool thing that is!!) - and friends who live there tell me that they don't pay dues or fees to the one they live in. However - in reading about some of the houses/locations in Lake Oswego, when pursuing the research on specific locations and if I am reading it correctly - I sometimes find references to common neighborhood association facilities (such pools, tennis courts, etc.) SO the question today is: is it an assumption that are there are or will be association fees for ANY AND ALL houses located in Lake Oswego (since each and every one of them appears to also be part of such neighborhood associations, whether or not they have any sort of "facility")?? That kinda makes a difference in knowing how to plan and I'll make it a point to shape my hopes accordingly... Thanks for anything y'all can share with me about this kind of thing! All best wishes, Jan

There are 'planned unit developments' (Mtn Park is an example) where there are common facilities that are available only to property owners.. and they maintain them. The costs associated with these common areas are voted on by the property owners. In a way it is like a park district but without taxing authority (or property tax deduction).
