Help with areas in Portland Or.
Hello Everybody,I am in the Navy going recruiting in Portland my station will be in Gresham. What at is a good area to live within a 10 mile radius of Gresham? Somewhere, where I don’t have to worry about my car getting broken in to… I am moving from Japan where I have lived for the past 6 years. I live in so. cal and housing is so high. I rent a 1 bedroom for 960. I did some research and found that i can get a 2 bedroom house for about the same price. I am actually really close to packin my bags and going to portland

Hey, not so fast. A two bedroom house for around $960 if Portland? Where is this gem? Where did you see it? One bedroom apartments are going for that price in many if not most neighborhoods.

I agree. That really doesn't sound right unless it's way out in the burbs, or in a really dodgy neighborhood (we really have few of them).
Going rate for a two bedroom is around $1300 or so.
