Ok, this is probably the bizarre question of the week, does anyone know
when we usually get our cherry blossoms every year, and when do the
leaves get back on the trees in Portland?

Here is my sinister motive: We are going to put our home on the market
soon and it looks so much better with foliage around it

This might have been a question for the Garden forum but since you are talking about Portland I'll leave it here.

Just as a guess I'd say about April your trees should bloom. Now don't bet the house on that. The cherry trees bloom before the leaves come out. i've had some cherry trees when I lived in eastern Oregon.

Now over here on the coast the blooms would come a bit earlier. Maybe someone else in Portland has cherry trees and can answer.

Depending on weather and the year late March to May. It also depends on exposure... mine are in a shaded area so they usually bloom later (Mayish).
