Now I've heard everything. You are upset that Portland does not have a sales tax. Ooookay... might I suggest NYC. They not only have a 10.5% income tax but they also have an 8.375% sales tax. I can't think of a better place for you to get your taxation without representation on.

I agree there, how can one be angry about no sales tax? Also, what does no sales tax have to do with being less manly? I thought it would be better because you can buy more toys.

Which set of cities would you rather live in? Denver is fine, but otherwise the top five seem like wretched places. The bottom five are pretty much the most vibrant cities in America. Go Portland!
Have to agree... tho my city makes it in the top 10 (Kansas City)... probably cuz we have a stupid nascar track here.

I'm straight, consider myself pretty manly I suppose... more of the stuff they were basing it on with the exception of tools and sports, seemed kinda redneck to me. I don't like nascar or monster trucks... I don't watch any sports except boxing and ufc (which I think is more "manly" then baseball and football) and those weren't counted...

weird list... I think KC is a great city, but comparing the top 5 to the bottom 5... well NYC and Portland i'd live in.. the others i'd visit only.. the top 5, Denver is the only place i'd consider... tho I don't know anything about Cincinnati at all... no interest in the other cities.

I guess I would fit in just fine in PDX. I am not considered "manly" by some standards. I "sip" on green tea, I occasionally go into Bath and BodyWorks. According to some people who know me, I am not considered "manly".
