I like Costco because the price was good and the tires they recommended for my car was rated as a top tire by consumer reports. Even though the selection is small, the tires they offer seem to be good quality.

I have had excellent service from Schwab. Besides the Toyo tires, I have been there to buy a battery. If you like the Toyo tires which I recommend at least from my experience with them, and the price is right I would get a set. I have had them on my vehicle for 4 years now with no problems at all, and I noticed immediately how smooth and well my truck handled with them. Since the Toyo warranty from Schwab would be good at any Toyo dealer nationwide, you can't lose on that purchase.

As far as the brakes. Unless you have the brake work done at Nationwide type stores such as Sears or Firestone, you will most likely have no warranty to lean on since you will be back east. With that said, I don't particularly care for either of those Automotive Centers. I am well aware of the bad reviews on Sears and Firestone is maybe only a little better. I don't know when your moving, but if it were me I would probably go with Schwab on the brakes also. I would try to have the work done at least a week or more before I left to see how the brakes are working. That way if there were some problems most likely the problems would show up in that time span, and you could have them checked before the trip.
