Anybody here ever get into concert poster art? Portland has some the best concert poster artists in the nation right here. Artists like Emek, Dan Stiles, Mike King and Guy Burwell.

Their stuff is showing on free Portland community site. No advertising www.Portlandposterpole.com Interesting for a peek if you are into that stuff.

Default Concert Poster Art

I don't know about right here in Portland. But Boise Idaho has the best single poster artist. Jefferson Wood. He has won the CIC (Concert Industry Convention) Pollster Poster contest twice. Both times 1st place. And his Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert poster was voted #18 best concert poster of all time by Billboard.
You can view information about this concert poster artist at www.concertpostergraphics.com.
He is known as the "bands favorite artist".
I own a couple of his posters, but I am looking to buy more of them if anyone has any that they would like to sell.
Thanks
Patrick Duffy

Yep, I would have to agree, Jefferson Wood is awesome. Really cool stuff. Higly detailed. Like 1950's comics or something. Emek lives in Portland. Who else in poster art lives up in the North West?

I recently saw the amazing documentary film Died Young Stayed Pretty and as a result, found out about this web site:

GigPosters.com - gig posters, flyers and handbills from around the world!

Sounds like anyone visiting this thread would want to bookmark it if they hadn't already.
