I was looking at a job hunting site and I put in Portland, Oregon and it gave me some other cities... is Milwaukie near Portland? Part of Portland? Just outside? What's the deal?

Milwaukie is a City in the county of Clackamas and is just due south of the Portland Neighborhood district of Sellwood. (Portland is in the County of Multnomah.) It is a suburban community. Some parts of Milwaukie is industrial, some is working class residential neighborhoods. I don't know about the rest, as the city is off the beaten path for me.
