I am moving to Beaverton by the end of the summer. What are they best schools in the area and what are the best areas to live? Looking for an area close to Max/bus and decent middle schools.

Your questions are valid, but a little open ended. What's your price range? Are you going to be commuting for a job? What kind of commute are you willing to tolerate? How close to the Max do you want to be, and is this an absolute must? The Beaverton area covers quite a bit of ground, and "best" is a very individual judgement.

Cedar Hills is close to the Sunset Transit Center, and it's a nice area, but the Max aso goes right through core "downtown" (I use that term liberally) Beaverton areas.

What do you like in a neighborhood? New housing, old housing, town houses?

There's lots of data about Beaverton in the main section of city-data.com, and links to sites that have data and evaluations of schools have been posted here in the forum many times. Like figmalt said, it's hard to know what you would consider "best".

Max doesn't serve South Beaverton at all, and bus service is minimal, too. If this is really important to you then save the time by avoiding this area in your search.

The Farmington Rd/Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy is do-able, though, as there are good enough bus connections to Max.
