This is something I am gonna one day accomplish, I just dont know what city I'm gonna do it in. It could be Portland for sure lol.
This is just something Im bringing up randomly since I saw someone say protest on the what to do in Portland thread lol.
Does it sound like a good idea? Id be one guy being filmed by another guy (someone would have to hold my camera haha).
It would be an upgrade of a version started by someone else in Oklahoma City where he made the signs and did all that work ONLY TO HIDE BEHIND TREES A COUPLE BLOCKS FROM THE CHRISTIAN PROTESTERS RIGHT BY A 7-11 AND NOT GO NEAR THEM. I would do it right across the street from protesters if I did it OR I could just do it on a random sunday when people get out of church or something or do it toward traffic. Im thinking my version would take place in Portland. Im not a hardcore atheist or anything, but I consider myself anti faith or agnostic with some universal beliefs. Thoughts?

Why would you think anyone here would support that type of thing? Are you so intolerant of other people's beliefs that you have to demonstrate? Or do I detect the odiforus scent of troll?

First, I'd recommend you work on general sentence structure. It would be pretty laughable if you came up with protest signs that were so incoherent that nobody could understand them.

I'd suggest a good reading of Matthew-John. You'll see there is nothing wrong with Jesus and his teaching. Keep in mind in Mohandas Ghandi, a Hindu, said he loved Christ but hated Christians. I am not trying to convert anyone but I think it's inappropriate to disrespect an individual who is misrepresented by group of local idiots. Christian means Christ-like so those ones protesting are obviously not Christian. In title, yes, in deed no. My point being is I understand your frustration with extreme religious beliefs but the sign really wouldn't be appropriate considering what the historical records say about him. The only people Jesus was ever angry with were hypocritical religious people. I bet you didn't come on here to find out the two of you had something in common, huh?

Ok first things first. I wouldnt have expected this much hate EVER for this kind of thread in a Portland room. My god theres atheists all over the place there.
I am not hating of christians.. I just dont choose to practice it and if christians dont push their **** on me, Im fine with them. To see all your reactions just shows. Some guy already tried this but hid a few blocks away from the action. If I were to do it, Id be right across the street.
At least tell me I have balls or something IF I were ever to do it.
I might just go outside with an anti anarcho capitalist sign or something though.
John Shaft.. you're a clown. There is not a damn thing wrong with my structure and how I type. You need counseling. Just take this thread for what it is and dont be a butthurt whiner.

If you don't like when Christians push their faith on you, why are you doing it to others? Two wrongs don't make a right. And really, if you pick a city, don't pick a city in the Pacific NW, it's the least religious area of the country, and likely all of North America.

I don't like when people push their religion on me either, but I just say "no thanks" and continue my day. You'd only be making yourself look and act like the people against whom you're protesting, and only fuel the fire.

Besidea, in Portland, the "want to save a forest/child/river" people that ask loaded questions are more annoying.
