Ronler Acres is a great location. Walking distance to parks, shops and restaurants. Its surrounded by high tech campuses which have immaculate grounds with 4 season landscaping. The Hillsboro Main Library and Dawson Creek Park have some great trails with ponds, bridges and wildlife. The area has nice wide roads with bike lanes an walking paths. You can see the West Hills and the Coast Range on a clear day which is especially nice when they are covered in snow. Its very convenient to the Sunset Highway (26) also.

Good luck to you.

I don't know about the Hillsboro condo, but I'm confused about why someone would move from West Linn to Hillsboro if the intention is to downsize to something in town? I'd suggest that you check in the area of Gabriel Park/Multnomah Village. Also, sometimes you can snag a condo in the Lloyd, Sullivan's Gulch, and Irvington areas. And also, north up off Burnside (near Barnes Road, or headed towards the zoo), there are condos. I don't think they stick around long so you have to keep checking, but those are all good areas. Also, you might have a hard time finding that square footage close-in with a budget of $250. Unless you want a fixer upper. But in the 1000-1100 sq ft range there are actually a good number of units out there right now.
