Hi! Long story short, after 3 miscarriages ( 1 then a live birth then 2 more) I had a mild cardiomyopathy most likely due to a virus. I am since healed and all tests after the losses came back normal exept a borderline low progesterone and some high estrogen (I had a saliva test and blood test).
I just started to ovulate so I am taking 20mgs of Natural Progesterone/bioidentical from wild yams each night. I've noticed that I now feel hungover all day, my eyes are tight, mild headach, gassy, weak in the muscles, tired, breast tenderness, depressed and alot of anxiety. I feel like my blood pressure is low but it's not I checked and I keep getting butterflies in my stomach with the occasionl pvc/extra beat and a bit of a rapid pulse. My cardio says there are no contraindications with my past heart issues and my chiro says it will get better and my gyno says these side effects are common with synthtic progesterone not the natural stuff.
Any ideas/experience/advice/words of encouragment?
i am so sorry for your loses. i was on a very low dosage of progesterone during my last pregnancy--about 5mg. but i dont know if those side affects are normal. i think maybe you are nervous because of your past experiences--and rightfully so. i know it's easier said than done, but just try to relax and focus on the fact that you were able to give birth to one child and it could happen again if you wanted to try again. if not, then remember that you are blessed to have one child when so many are not so lucky.
try to sit comfortably and meditate a bit every day. stressing out about everything you feel may be going on in your body wont really help you in any way, and stress wont help any pregnancy. there are things we have no control over, but stressing out about things that are not there is something you can try to control.
