Wife and I have been trying for a couple of years now to no avail. Went to fertility doctor and everything and we're both fine. It's just unexplained why we're having trouble conceiving. Well anyways, my wife always do a home pregnancy test every month and just two days ago, she had a positive!! She couldn't believe it so she took another one right after, positive again! We went to the store to get another test, different brand just to vary it up and make sure. We took one that same night, positive and one the next morning, positive!! We called the doctor but we can't get in until 2 weeks to confirm and I can't wait!

Please tell me there's no way that 4 positive result from 2 different brand can be wrong, right?!?! The first 2 test were first response and the second 2 were clear blue if that matters.

By the way, she's 3-4 days late.
Please tell me what ya'll think. Thank you.

I'm thinking she most likely IS pregnant and congrats to you!

Believe me, when I found out I was pregnant I took 6 tests and tried different brands too. I just couldn't believe it. And I wasn't even late.

The test will only show positive results if the pregnancy hormone (I think it's called HCG) is present. So, you can't get a false positive result.

I think congratulations are in order. If you can't get in to see your regular doctor, can he/she order a blood test ahead of time? That way you would be able to confirm the results before your visit. Good luck!

This isn't unusual. My neighbor tried to get pregnant with a second child for eight years. Nothing was wrong with she or her husband. It finally happened out of the blue without any fertility treatments or drugs. She had a healthy pregnancy with no complications.

It sounds like congrats are in order!
I did the same thing with my pregnancies - taking a gazillion tests just to see that second line appear.

Tests are accurate, but there is a certain level of inaccuracy.
XKCD strip number 882 comes to mind. Check how many tests you have taken and calculate the chances of four false positives in a row.
In the end, you need to take her to a doctors office.
That isn't the end of it. 1/3 miscarry in the first three months. The reasons it took so long for her to become pregnant might play a role.
Don't cash your chips just yet.

My OB said he had never heard of a pregnancy test coming in positive when the patient was not pregnant. He has seen women getting a negative and being pregnant. So I would say congrats are in order.
