Mayor Palguta of PV announced Angry Crab Shack expanding to PV. From what I know, they're scattered all over metro PHX. No specific locations but its on their website. Anybody been there and what dishes do you recommend?

It appears that with all the franchised foods coming to PV that it's growing about as fast as my waistline!

We don't have a seafood restaurant technically, so this is a welcome change to the area. Red Lobster is in Prescott.

And the quality of Red Lobster is not that great.
Grew up just N. of San Francisco, I used to fish a lot and we had lots of fresh seafood at very low prices. I miss the competitive seafood restaurants that we had just 30 miles N. of SF.
But while stationed in AZ with the Army in '67-8 I married an AZ native girl born in Tombstone no less so when our jobs in CA gave way at the sub base we both worked at we relocated to AZ where she was from and it's cheaper to live than CA.
And we like Mexican food too, but Tex-Mex is not what we want. Spent some time in Mexico and it's just not the same.

IMO, the best seafood in Prescott is at Iron Springs Cafe and Prescott Station is worth a try. Expensive, of course.

I miss the exotic Mexican food I could get when I lived in Houston, like Chiles en Nogada with walnut sauce and pomegranate seeds. I like Olivas in PV because it's Sonoran-style, so it's at least somewhat different from all the others.

Although your overall point is not lost, it's kind of irrelevant to this thread. And while I probably won't be eating at this restaurant, I'm happy that there are more options for the local population.

FWIW, there are glimmers of hope - this, for example, was a recent bit of good news:

Of course, it probably doesn't offset the job loss from Raytheon departing several years ago, but it has potential.

Trust me, I've been talking to city council members and the mayor in PV encouraging them to attract higher paying jobs, improving infrastructure, better restaurants, and more grocery stores amongst other issues. They will come.
