The wind is seasonal...mainly spring. Otherwise it seems to only come flying through before a storm front hits. And it can produce some hard gusts. On Christmas night we had "weather" and the wind snapped my sister's flagpole in half, broke off the top of one of my cottonwood trees, and blew the hood OFF of my grandsons' car! Whoo-hoo! But this is not a regular occurence...we just had a particularly stormy night.

For dust allergies it is not a great place to be.

Not sure what you are asking...Chino Valley has a "Curves" business and also several private programs through the community center and adult center...I can't give you exacts.

Default Wind in Chino Valley

29sep14 - We've bought a parcel of land in Chino Valley, on Rancho Santa Maria Dr. We hope to move there next year. We currently live in the Antelope Valley CA. One of the things I hate about living in the AV is the wind and dust. So, far, we've visited CV in Nov, Jan, Feb, and Jun. It definitely gets windy in CV, but we've never seen wind like we get here on a regular basis. I've also been checking WeatherUnderground frequently since last spring, and with only one or two exceptions, it's always windier, usually significantly windier, here in the AV than in CV. It also seems much less dusty in CV, we assume because it's less windy and also because there seems to generally be more ground cover in CV, while here in the AV we have lots of mostly bare dirt areas or sandy areas. So, while I'm still a bit concerned about the wind, it looks like it will be better, and we're pretty much committed to moving there by now, so I'm looking forward to starting an origami group in both CV and in Prescott, at the libraries, maybe by next fall.

What do you you possibly care what somebody else has in their shopping cart? I'd say you expounded on your political (and personal) feelings quite well. If you were trying to avoid doing that, you'd simply have said something like "the Safeway gets really busy on weekends."

Avoid young mothers. Many pay with some sort of food stamp thing. Each item must be logged separately, and your ice cream will melt while you wait.

We run into that at Fry's on Miller Valley. There seems to be some kind of housing nearby, so there are a lot of them.

Not a lot to do there, unless you are a golfer there's a golf course/resort there. And if you love little dives & love beer, there are some bars there (from Doreen's to The Bonfire; about 5-6 of them there). And just a lot of stores (if you like working at a store then you can go there).
