There's something I'm not getting?

I never said that or meant to imply that. I gave a summary of the meeting not just for you but for anyone else who could not attend that may be interested. In that summary I backed up what you heard someone else tell you only to add credibility to your statement. As I was there for the entire meeting. What you heard was indeed correct. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

No, no, no good sir you misunderstood. I was slyly trying to make a dig on a current event that is only supported by hearsay and not first hand evidence. It was big in the news cycle last year (actually three years), but since it stalled, it is kind of not talked about as much now.

No problem, now I understand. Thanks for clearing that up.

And it appears that ignoring the law may be part of it.
But that's not what this post is supposed to be about.

Isn't the Constitution the supreme law of the USA?

Update: On next Tuesday, January 21st, 5:30 pm at the council building, Bullhead City, AZ (in Mohave County) may become the First 2A Sanctuary city in AZ.

If you are able, please come and support our declaration of liberty. The "2A sanctuary movement" is showing the government how people from all walks of life are standing shoulder to shoulder and putting government on notice that they are treading on very shakey ground and we will NOT tolerate tyranny.

This will be closed if the political rhetoric keeps up. Try to discuss the issue without demonizing the other side.

You've got that right my friend. It's bad enough that we already have one. I had to hold my nose when I voted for Flake, but there was no other choice. It was either him or Carmona, some choice huh? Staying home on Election Day was never an option. Neither is voting for a third party candidate when ever there is one. The most important thing is that the Republicans keep control of the senate. It's the senate that gets to appoint and confirm justices to the federal bench and SCOTUS. Especially one's that are young enough to be on the bench for decades to come. It's the only chance we have to save our Republic at least for our lifetimes. After that what happens to this country is anyone's guess?

Unfortunately the march towards Socialism/Communism and the acceptance of it is on the rise. We can blame our broken immigration system for that both legal and illegal. Too many people from third world countries are allowed to immigrate here. Including those who come here illegally and are allowed to remain. The illegal invaders then have their anchor babies. We've become a bi-lingual, multi-cultural society. These people have absolutely no knowledge of our history or understand the principles of which this country was founded. They are easy to brain wash and manipulate, they are for the most part condemned to a life of poverty. The Democrat Party is all too willing to accommodate them.

In order to control the population you must first enslave them by providing for them their every need. Socialism/Communism can not exist without poverty and despair. Of course you can't have Socialism/Communism as long as we have the 2nd Amendment. That's the real reason behind those who wish to abolish it. They know full well that it will have no impact on crime or make us any safer. It's all about absolute power and control.

Khrushchev in a speech to western ambassadors in 1956 declared: "Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you!" He later on clarified that: "Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you." Referring to the Marxist slogan: "The proletariat is the undertaker of capitalism".

Quote:
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. Their very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be ‘cured’ against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.

Leaving this last post up so you can get an idea of what will get the thread closed. Local forums are meant to be for information amongst people who live here or are planning to relocate. We have a Politics forum to discuss larger issues. Please read the sticky on the Arizona forum.
