Hi everyone, we are moving into a rental in Stoneridge. I need reliable and pretty fast internet for my remote work. Any opinions welcome on which internet provider is more reliable, cost effective, etc. I've had cable internet in the past (not in Prescott Valley) and it was spotty service and pricey. Currently have AT&T bundled with Direct TV and it's pricey but reliable. Any input is appreciated. Thank you, we are super excited to be coming to town!

We work remote from home too and found that Sparklight is the most reliable and fastest service you'll get here.

Has anybody tried any of the 4G based internet connections in the area?

I see Verizon offers it, but havent met anybody that has actually tried it.

I have Verizon and I get 4G service on our phones in Viewpoint North as the new tower was just installed in our area about 2 years ago.
It works just fine.
We also have Sparklight for internet and it's really reliable.

Just read an article today about T-Mobile's home internet service. You'll have to check availability.

So sorry to revive a zombie thread, but it's been a couple years since an update. Are these ISP's (listed above) still the best ones in Prescott? Still no Cox? And who is the best ISP in Prescott as of July of 2023?

I have been happy with Sparklight for the last year, but they just upgraded my service without asking me first. Went from 200 MBS to 300 MBS with a 700 GB cap per month. Cost only $5 per month more, but again, nobody bothered asking me. Yes, was on on auto pay.

Interesting. Sparklight eliminated their 100mbs plan a year ago and bumped me up to 200mbs. $5 more for months and now $10 more (the normal rate). I own my own cable modem, so $65.

Cox will never serve this area. Sparklight has the franchise. Luckily, they provide good service. When I moved last year I just took my cable modem to the new house and plugged it in. Didn't need to talk to them at all, except for updating my address with them.

If you like Cox for TV also, I can't help with that as I only get the internet service from Sparklight. I'm one of the few that still uses Dish, but if I had to switch it would probably be YouTube TV.
