Chino Valley just north of Prescott is a nice scenic place to live with 4 seasons of climate. As far as resorts, I don't know, but if you Googled Chino Valley for information I'm sure you'll find out anything you want to know about it.

Big developments coming to Chino see below

The developer, Del Rio Springs Ranch, and Fann Environmental of Prescott late last week agreed to the final deal for the projects, which are likely to cost $2.5 million. Del Rio Springs Ranch sits on about 3,000 acres along both sides of Highway 89 north of Road 5 North between Reed Road on the west and the Peavine Trail on the east. The 4- to 5-square-mile development also extends north of the future Road 7 North.Pipe

Fann Environmental vice president Jeff Sawyer said Brown Family Communities of Tempe will buy close to 850 acres of the ranch on the east side of the highway. The developer wants to build a planned community of 1,850 homes.

Brown Family Communities vice president Steve Cameron declined comment about the project and Jake Jacobson, project manager for Del Rio Springs Ranch, did not return calls to his cell phone on Friday.

"The lift station is scheduled to be constructed to coincide with the first homes being built as part of the Brown Family development," Sawyer said. "Brown Family anticipates being ready to have people start moving into homes in October 2008."
