Pretty hard to make a recommendation without any specific info. Are you fresh out of high school (I'm guessing because of some of your other responses)? Do you have any skills? Any particular lines of work you are interested in?

Have you checked the local papers? Have you driven around to businesses and made inquiries?

There's a lot you can do for yourself to help your cause, whether it's providing more concise information or taking the initiative to get around town and talking to local business owners or managers at larger stores.

20...that's fresh out of HS, yes. I've been out of HS for 25 years, so there you go. And yes, because of your other responses, such as the one to the 18-20 year old thread, and your status as "BORED". That's got impatient youth written all over it. Not holding that against you, but coming from an older guy I can tell you, life is what you make of it, not what others make of it for you. Being "BORED" and looking for work in the CD forum--you're not sending out much of a positive impression. If I were an employer and I happen to be scanning these forums because I live in the area, and I come across your posts--do you think I would interpret your image as one of a motivated and self-sufficient individual?

Somebody with a marketable skill set or a more proactive attitude wouldn't rely on random forum people to help them find a job, instead they would hit the paper, the job posting sites, the local businesses, they'd get off their duff and hit the pavement, make things happen. If they felt the CD forum really could help them--maybe they'd want to present a stronger image than one of somebody who is discontent, impatient and easily ruffled? (Yes, that's the image I have of you, based on the 2 threads and 4 responses you've graced the forum with thus far.)

The lack of detail in your initial post suggests that you don't have experience or knowledge that you can adequately summarize here, to give some perspective on the type of employment you are looking for. Your subsequent response was uninformative, outside of confirming your youth. Posting in CD forum looking for a job suggests you're wanting others to give you direction rather than taking the initiative.

Not trying to dog you here, hopefully you can see where my comments are suggesting you take your search and how to set yourself up for success rather than failure. Good luck, hope you do find a job. Tough times.
